Five Star Cementitious Underwater High-Strength Grout is a precision-grade, cement-based system designed to deliver reliable structural support in underwater and marine construction applications. Engineered for demanding environments where structures are exposed to saltwater, freshwater, or brackish conditions, this high-strength formulation provides consistent performance and long-term durability. With excellent pumpability and flow characteristics, it easily fills spaces around piles, structural foundations, and anchor systems — without the need for complex underwater placement equipment.

This grout reaches 3,500 psi compressive strength in just 24 hours and achieves 8,500 psi at 28 days, helping reduce project timelines while maintaining structural integrity. Its positive expansion characteristics and migrating corrosion inhibitors ensure dimensional stability and protection against harsh marine environments over time. Ideal for marine construction and restoration projects, Five Star Underwater High-Strength Grout simplifies underwater installation while maintaining industry-grade mechanical performance under dynamic loading conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the recommended placement method for Underwater High-Strength Grout?
It can be placed via tremie, pump, or pour methods. For placement thicknesses less than 1 inch or greater than 6 inches, contact Five Star Products’ technical service center.

How long before structures can be loaded?
Under typical conditions (70°F), it reaches 3,500 psi in 24 hours and continues to gain strength, reaching 8,500 psi in 28 days.

Can it be used in saltwater environments?
Yes. It is specifically designed for salt and seawater resistance with migrating corrosion inhibitors for enhanced protection.

What surface preparation is required?
All surfaces must be free of marine growth, oil, grease, and contaminants. Concrete must be clean, sound, and roughened. For non-underwater applications, presoak surfaces for 8-24 hours.

How is it mixed and applied?
Mix thoroughly for 4-5 minutes to uniform consistency with a mortar mixer. Do not exceed maximum water content. Working time is 60 minutes at 70°F.

What’s the shelf life?
One year in original unopened packaging when stored in dry conditions; high humidity will reduce shelf life.
