Five Star High Strength Grout is a precision-grade, cement-based non-shrink grout engineered to deliver exceptional structural support for machinery and equipment requiring exact alignment. Formulated with advanced Air Release technology, this high-performance grout combines reliability with superior bearing capacity to support critical industrial applications. With outstanding flowability and versatility, it can be poured, wet set, or dry packed to accommodate installation requirements from 1-inch minimum thickness to substantial structural pours — making it ideal for both routine maintenance and major construction projects.

This grout achieves impressive early strength development, reaching 7,000 psi in just 24 hours and building to 15,000 psi compressive strength at 28 days in wet set applications. Its non-shrink properties ensure dimensional stability from placement through final cure, while the 95% effective bearing area provides maximum load transfer. Designed for demanding environments where precision alignment and long-term performance are critical, Five Star High Strength Grout meets stringent industry specifications including ASTM C 1107 Grades A, B, and C across a wide temperature range of 40°F to 90°F.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum placement thickness for Five Star High Strength Grout?
The minimum placement thickness is 1 inch (25 mm). For pours over 6 inches in depth, the grout should be extended with clean, damp coarse aggregate meeting ASTM C 33 requirements.

How long is the working time?
Working time is approximately 30 minutes at 70°F (21°C). Use heated or chilled water to help adjust working time based on ambient conditions.

What surface preparation is required?
All surfaces must be free of oil, grease, laitance, and other bond-inhibiting contaminants. Concrete should be mechanically roughened to coarse aggregate exposure with a Concrete Surface Profile (CSP) of 6-9. Presoak concrete surfaces for 8 to 24 hours before grouting.

Can it be used in different placement methods?
Yes, Five Star High Strength Grout can be poured, wet set, or dry packed depending on the application requirements and site conditions.

What is the water-to-grout ratio?
Mix with 2¾ to 3¼ quarts of potable water per 50 lb. bag. Never exceed the maximum water content or add amounts that will cause segregation.

How should the grout be cured?
Wet cure for a minimum of three days, or coat with an approved curing compound meeting ASTM C 309 requirements after a minimum 24-hour wet cure. In-service operation may begin immediately after the required grout strength has been reached.
